January Schedule For BBall


Schedule for Week ending 1/5/08

Practice for both teams Wed. evening at Montello.

Away game at Ossippee Valley Christian School on Friday the 4th.

The caravan will be leaving at 3:00 from VCS. Girls at 4:30 and boys at 6:00

Please send money with your player for food (or pack them dinner).

BOYS REVOLUTION WWWWIIIIINNNNSSSS!!!

Congratulations to the VCS Revolution boys team on their first win of the season 45 to 35 over Central Maine Christian Academy of Lewiston.

The Revs saw a balanced offensive attack as every Revolution contributed and 3 players with double figures in points: Jacob Coleman with 14, Cody DeGraff with 11 and Brandon Levesque with 12 who also had double digits in the rebound category.

Boys Revolution Christmas Practices

Grace Baptist in Portland and Lisbon Falls Christian Academy have partnered with the VCS Revolution boys team for practices over the holiday break.

Each date will feature drills, fundamentals and live scrimmages.

Grace Baptist Wednesday, Dec 19th at 4:00 p.m. (Caravan leaving school at 3:00)

Grace Baptist Thursday, Dec 27th at 4:45 p.m. (players arrange rides)

Lisbon Falls Christian Academy Saturday, Dec 30th at 9:00 a.m. (players arrange rides)

Boys Only Home Game Monday 12/17

The VCS Revolution boys team will take on Central Maine Christian Academy at Farwell gym at 5:15 pm.

The girls team will follow the game with a practice.

Results of Girls/Boys at Chop's Point

In the first game the Lady Revolution played their toughest defense to date in the 25-17 loss. Shonah Russell scored her first points for VCS and Jazmine Fulgham poured in 13.

The boys game ended in a final score of Chops Point 82, Vineyard 30. Cody Degaff leading scorer w/12pts, Zach Ray and Jacob Coleman each had 6pts.

The caravan for the away game versus Chops Point will leave VCS at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday. Help with transportation would be greatly appreciated.

VCS Drops First Ever Home Opener

In the first ever home opener for the Vineyard Christian School Revolution basketball team, Temple Academy of Waterville jumped out to an early 17-3 lead Monday night and finished off the Revolution boys team by a final score of 29 to 47. Team leaders for the Revolution were Cody Degraff 14 pts, Zach Ray 5 steals 10 pts, Brandon Levesque 8 rebounds 4 pts.

In the girls game Temple's balanced scoring attack led them to a 43-14 victory of the Lady Revolution team from VCS.

Both teams play Wednesday afternoon at Chops Point School in Woolwich.

Girls game starts at 4:00 and the boy's game follows at 5:30.

VCS REVOLUTION PLANS TIP OFF TOURNEY

The VCS Revolution boys and girls teams will be travelling to their first every out of state tournament this weekend.

The Calvary Christian Tip Off Tourney will begin Friday morning and culminate in the championship round Saturday evening.

Teams will depart VCS at 6 am Friday and plan to return late Saturday (pending results of games).

Players must turn in acknowledgement forms and the $15 fee in order to attend.
